A visit from Eebie and Joe

Nothing better to break up a cold and  relatively boring March than a visit from Aunt Eebie and cousin Joe!!   Last week Eebie called and said she and Joe wanted to have a minication in Ithaca.

Annie so looks forward to visits from her Aunt Eebie.  She’s probably one of the greatest kid people I’ve ever met, and Annie just adores her.  She always gets snuggly, and wants Eebie to be the one to help her with everything.  It’s very sweet.

Annie also gets a big kick out of Joe, and he is happy to oblige her crazy ideas!  I guess at some point Joe became a ride, and Annie probably would have ridden on his back all day if he had let her.

Eebie is always bringing fun things for Annie to do.

This time it was a mini greenhouse kit.  She and Joe poured the water in, put the seeds in the little soil pods, and placed it in the sunlight.  Now we just have to wait and see what grows.

Charlotte, a little too little to be excited over the greenhouse, was just happy to hang out.  Here she is just being happy!

Eebie had rented a hotel room for her and Joe, so that they’d have a pool to swim in to give Joe a feeling of having really been on vacation.  So we all went over to their hotel, and went for a little swim.  The pool unfortunately was not really all that warm, but that didn’t seem to bother the kids.  Annie kept saying she was hot…but I have a feeling she’s got her hot and cold messed up!

We went over to the restaurant for dinner after that.  Annie got pretty messy with some pasta.

And she and Joe had some serious conversations at the bar!

Thank goodness we had something really great to do with what otherwise would have been just another boring week waiting for better weather!
