A Charlie Update

It has occurred to me that I haven’t really written much exclusively about Charlie, since she’s still such a tiny baby and has been sleeping most of her life up to this point.   She’s just the easiest little smooch of a baby!  We absolutely adore her,  and if I could be guaranteed to have more babies like her, I’d probably have 3 or 4 more.  The only thing so far she’s not perfect at, is riding in the car, and even that isn’t so bad.

When she was born she was 8 lbs 12 oz, and now at three months old she is about 12lbs 8oz, give or take an oz.  So the booby milk is doing its job just fine.  She’s growing much faster than Annie did.  At this age Annie was definitely still wearing 0-3 month clothing, and didn’t start wearing 3-6 month stuff til after 4 months old.  Charlie is definitely well into 3-6 months clothing now.  It made me a bit sad to go through all the newborn and 0-3 clothing and start deciding which of the things I would give away, and which I would keep and put away *just in case* we have a third.  Which is highly unlikely at this point,  but I’m not going to get rid of all these clothes til I know for sure.

Charlotte was given a nickname on our vacation.  Sarah started calling her “Charlotte, Mushroom Tarlotte”  So now we all call her a little mushroom tarlotte.

And the big news is that she started rolling over all of a sudden yesterday!  I have no idea if she would have done it before now or not, because the poor kid almost never gets the chance to have floor time.  I usually can’t just put her on the floor, because Annie gets on top of her, with aggressive hugs, and I have to save the baby from getting smushed.  Annie means well of course, but the end result is a baby who never gets to play on the floor yet.  I’m sure she’ll get a chance someday.

For now, I’ll just keep on snuggling my precious little mushroom.
